A Review

I have this compelling urge to a least make a brief mention of this place:
Over the holidays I got a chance to stop in at a new little establishment on Downer Avenue in Milwaukee called New Hollander. Nice place with a bit of a cycling theme. Paintings, and old bikes to add to the atmosphere, but best of all, Belgian beer. Of all types. Leffe on tap. mmmmm....good stuff. They even had some nice frites to go with my mayonnaise.

It was rather calm in there around the holidays, but this past weekend I got another chance to stop in there for a few more minutes. The place was "hoppen." Almost too busy, but the beer was still good. Even if some don't like their beer in a "wine" glass... I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Especially the cycling enthusiast.

It will be interesting to see how the place goes over during the Superweek race that will happen right outside its front doors.
